Virtualization Solutions
Virtualization Solution (Destkop Virtual Infrastructure - VDI) solution using computing resources from the server associated with virtualization technology to create a system of workstations, this time as the virtual machine. Users will have access to the system and allocate virtual machines to use remote.
The image of the interface of the virtual machine is active on the screen of the TV terminal user, as well as the manipulation of the user (keyboard, mouse ..) normally takes place entirely through through the remote display protocol (Display Desktop protocol) is established between the access device and the user's workstation inside the data center.
The model solution
Model overview of a VDI solution is shown below
Includes:
Physical Server
Including the strong servers to meet computing's demand (CPU, memory, network, IO ...) for the workstation system is the virtual machine.
Software System (software virtualization and virtual infrastructure management)
The servers will be virtualized to create the environment for a variety of client activity. Besides the management, deployment, allocation, recovery workstations and implementation of policy in the use of the user when the connection to the client system (the Connection Server in tissue figure).
Connection Server is responsible for interaction with internal users within the system. For users accessing the Internet from outside, this function will be undertaken by the Security Server, the addition of strong authentication as well as ensure data exchange process between users and workstations secure encryption.
SAN Storage
Provides centralized storage environment for the virtualized workstation. The organization is focused workstations require large capacity requirements for storage systems. Moreover, the ability to share the SAN system partition is necessary to ensure stability, sustainability and enhanced availability for the operation of the system.
Terminals
Users use the equipment installed specialized software for remote access to workstations. The terminal is now the only means of making the connection to the remote workstation users, so the requirement for hardware capability to the terminal would very much simpler than the machine individuals previously granted to the user (as the Thin Client), saves procurement costs later when the system is deployed
The traditional computer can also install the software for use in connection access device (as the Fat Client) to ensure compatibility and make use of the facilities of the old system to new system.
